To Quill the Mocking World

He’s her Lobster

By Shruti Parija
(2 min read)

Rings a bell, doesn’t it? The title is borrowed from the much loved sitcom, Friends.
In the rural by-lanes of a steel city
They met and how
The blossoming of friendship
The rekindling of old love
And through and through
The conversations flowed
Amidst life’s winding turns
They loved and how
Belligerent love
Arduous love
Steadfast love
Gooey love
Love that calms
Love that warms
Love that stands
Withering the storms
They married and how
Days turned into months
Into years
Patterns set
They loved a little more
With each passing day
And then a parcel arrived
Steeped in red
And out popped a poster
He’s her lobster, it said
And she smiled
He truly is her lobster!
