To Quill the Mocking World

I missed

By Nikhil Menon

(3 min read)

Stared into the deep abyss

In my mind it lay

Searched for something

But never understood what it was

Deeper and Deeper I dove

Yet, the more I despaired

What was I looking for?

I knew not

I slept, I ate, I cried

Stuck in a rut was I

And then it dawned,

I missed her touch

I missed her kiss

I missed her hug

I missed her love

Flew did I into her arms

The next time we met

She looked into my eyes & said

“Son, I missed you too”
